Tomatin distillery was established by Tomatin Spey District Distillery Co Ltd in 1897 and is the largest malt distillery in Scotland. The distillery was acquired by Takara in 1986 to become the first Scottish distillery to be under full Japanese ownership.

Bottling: Duncan Taylor Tomatin 1965 - 40yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Duncan Taylor Single Malt Scotch
Cask No: 1903.
Colour: Amber.
Nose: Full of flavour, rich and heavy - poached fruits.
Flavour: Sherbet, sweet zesty notes - creamy lemon.
Finish: Long and developing continually changing.
Comments:  Complex, I could nose this all day.

Bottling: Duncan Taylor Tomatin 1965 - 38yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 20944.
Colour: Pale gold.
Nose: Perfumed, Mint and Butterscotch.
Flavour: Woody. Fruity and creamy.
Finish: Smooth, lightly woody and slightly drying.
Comments:  Very alive for something of such age!

Bottling: Duncan Taylor Tomatin 1965 - 41yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 1904.
Colour: Bright straw.
Nose: Stewed fruits - rhubarb and Cinnamon.
Flavour: Touch of oak, more clove and spiced notes and heavy fruits.
Finish: Coating and long - very long.
Comments:  Like Rhubarb rock - stunning stuff!
