Millburn was the last of the three
Inverness distilleries to survive before it was closed in 1985.
Much of the distillery buildings are still retained today after
it was converted in to a steakhouse in 1988. The distillery was
situated on the outskirts of Inverness on the main road to Elgin
and had a turbulent past. The origins of the distillery are a little
vague - it is believed that it was founded in 1807 however the first
official records appear in 1825. The distillery was closed shortly
after this time and converted into a grain mill before being reopened
in 1876. Much of the distillery was destroyed by fire in 1922 at
which time much of the distillery was rebuilt. Rarest of the Rare- COMING SOON
