Glenlochy distillery was built in the Shadow of Ben Nevis in 1890. The distillery was one of many to close in 1983. Although some of the distillery buildings still stand the distilling equipment has long since been removed. The buildings are being converted into residential property.

Tasting Notes
Bottling: Rarest of the Rare Glenlochy 1980 - 23yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Rarest of the Rare Single Malt Scotch
Cask No: 2450.
Colour: Chardonnay.
Nose: Grass, herbaceous, fruity and vanilla.
Flavour: Slight medicinal cream note – more fruity (citrus) with water.
Finish: Long woody and fruity.
Comments:  A wooden fruit bowl – needs a drop of water.

Bottling: Rarest of the Rare Glenlochy 1980 - 24yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 2451.
Colour: Gold with orange Highlights.
Nose: Minty, soft anteseptic cream and vanilla.
Flavour: Medicinal, slight smokiness comes through the creaminess.
Finish: Big finish, creaminess and touch of spice.
Comments:  A big dram that needs a splash.
